Practicing Social Therapeutic Coaching

ICF accredited with 9 cces

As a group-based method, social therapeutics is flexible. In these takeaways, consider the term ‘group’ to be inclusive of the team, ‘the relationship’ (couples work), the family, the community and 1:1 (coach+client group of 2).

  • Understand the Four Pillars: Dive into the foundational elements of social therapeutics.

  • Develop Group Insight: Enhance your ability to perceive and relate to the group/team as a unified entity.

  • Practical Applications of Relationality: Gain clarity on how relationality boosts coach-client-group presence and trust.

  • Enhance Session Awareness: Sharpen your skills in observing and creating with emerging dynamics during sessions.

  • Empower Clients: Learn tools to help clients take emotional risks and engage in difficult conversations within the group.

  • Reflect and Facilitate Growth: Discover methods to mirror back the group's progress and activities, fostering collective growth.

  • Embrace Uncertainty: Challenge yourself to let go of the need for certainty and leverage your discoveries to guide clients in doing the same.

"The inaugural training session with Carrie Sackett, MS, PCC left me in awe! It was truly mind-opening and perspective-shifting. Being part of this class is both an honor and a thrilling opportunity."

— Steve Weiss, ACC, Transformational Leadership Coach

Each class will weave sections of Social Therapeutic Coaching together to dive deeply into a theme

  1. Belonging: A group-based understanding of human development.

  2. Shifting the Practitioner Lens: Move from a 'Me' to a 'We' perspective by abandoning inherited concepts and outdated modes of thinking.

  3. The Power of Improv/Theater Performance: Explore this metaphor for life and its applications.

  4. Seeing the 'We' in Emotions and Language: Understand the collective aspects of emotions and communication.

"This is what I have been looking for! Both training in and experiencing Life Development Groups is changing my practice in a profoundly hopeful and humanistic way."

— Silvia Llacera, PCC, Executive and Team Coach
